            MP3 Players Find a Place in the Classroom - We are excited to announce that Wachusett Hills Christian School has applied for and received a grant to purchase MP3 players for use in the classroom.  These will be used to help struggling readers and students with comprehension issues keep up with their social studies, science, and literature assignments by listening to the material as they follow along in their books.

            WHCS to Receive a Digital Microscope - Last June, the graduating class of eighth graders donated money to buy a digital microscope for the school.  It has been ordered, and we should be receiving it in February 2009.  We will use it with our existing E-beam interactive white board system and projector.  Regular microscopes are problematic in that they have to be focused for each viewer or the lights don't always work.  Children don't always know what they are looking at, and it is sometimes hard to explain.  This digital microscope ties into the computer, and the picture can be viewed by the whole class at once!
